  • The National Career Readiness Certificate is a personalized certificate that shows employers you have the skills needed for workplace success.
  • WorkKeys® is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performance workforce developed by ACT.

The National Career Readiness Certificate includes the following assessments:

Applied Mathematics This assessment measures skills people use when they apply mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving techniques to work-related problems.  While examinees may use a calculator and formula sheet to help with the problems, they still need to use math skills to think them through.
Locating Information This assessment measures skills people use when they work with workplace graphics such as charts, graphs, maps, tables, forms, flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, and instrument gauges.  Examinees are asked to find information in a graphic or insert information into a graphic as well as compare, summarize, ad analyze information found in related graphics.
Reading for Information This assessment measures skills people use when they read and use written text in order to do a job.  The written texts include memos, letters, directions, signs, notices, bulletins, policies, and regulations.

Your WorkKeys® scores will determine what level certificate you are eligible to earn. (You must complete all 3 tests to earn a certificate):

BRONZE Minimum score of 3
SILVER Minimum score of 4
GOLD Minimum score of 5
PLATINUM Minimum score of 6
